About Algoeye
#whoami
Welcome to Algoeye.
My name is Ray Weitzenberg, an artist and technologist in NYC.
Much about our current reality is outside my control. But I want to be of service, and attempting to be of most benefit I'm sharing some of the tools, information and experience I've personally built over decades.
I'm not a security professional, nor do I have experience participating in activist communities. But I've been a working artist and in the tech industry since the mid 90s and have been concerned about and investigating privacy and surveillance nearly as long.
The Information on Algoeye
I'm a long time member of the Electronic Frontier Foundation and am leaning heavily on their work to distill much of the information here. Another resource I've looked to is the Protest Surveillance and Safety guide from the Surveillance Technology Oversight Project (S.T.O.P.).
This information is presented with inline links for reference and further study.
Signal v Noise
It's important to me that I not add additional noise to the environment. Please reach out if you find information here can be adjusted based on what's most relevant today, or if there is anything that you feel isn't and should be included.
